ScallionTrade is a secondhand marketplace for North American ACG users, focused on figures, models, limited goods, badges, acrylic stands, plushies, cosplay clothing, wigs, and props.
The problem we are solving
In North America, anime secondhand trading still relies on private chats, screenshots, group posts, off-platform payments, and personal trust. Buyers struggle to quickly find the right IP, character, version, and condition; sellers repeatedly explain box condition, accessories, defects, pricing, and transaction method.
When disputes happen, responsibility is hard to determine and communication costs are high. ScallionTrade wants to make this simpler.
What we are building
We are building a secondhand environment better suited for ACG goods: more structured item fields, clearer photos and defect notes, easier search by IP/character/category/city/transaction method, and less ineffective communication for sellers.
In this stage, we start with small-scope beta testing. We do not try to build a giant platform first; we verify whether real users are willing to trade in a clearer, more rule-based environment.
What we are doing now
- Recruiting the first batch of buyers and sellers
- Collecting early listing data
- Building preview listing pages
- Testing buyer inquiry + manual matching flow
- Collecting feedback on protection rules, listing fields, and platform policies
Early preview items do not support automatic checkout or payment. We manually confirm availability, connect both sides, and record real feedback before deciding whether to enter formal MVP development.

What we believe
ACG goods should not be treated like generic secondhand items. Version, box condition, accessories, defects, authenticity, and limited status all matter to real buyers and sellers.
ScallionTrade is not just another place to post items. We want to be a trading entry that understands these details.
Our first step is small: let real buyers submit demand, real sellers submit items, and real listings be presented seriously. If this works, we keep moving forward.
